The charity ‘Help an African Schoolchild Trust’ is non denominational and was officially formed in 1994 and primarily works in Tanzania and Zambia.

 

The Aim of the charity is:

To improve the living conditions, the educational standards and facilities in a number of Zambian and Tanzanian communities

 

Our Objectives are:

 

• To carry out small community projects e.g. to provide wells for fresh drinking water or feeding programs for malnourished children.

 

• To raise funds for individual schools to buy essential equipment and materials, with particular emphasis on assisting special needs schools.

 

• To assist financially and practically in minor and major building projects.

 

• To assist women’s groups in their development.
